Homework for GRAPHING PROPORTIONS Chapter 1.5

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Today we reviewed our new vocabulary words and reviewed different methods to recognize proportional relationships.
VOCABULARY WORDS - Origin, coordinate plane, x-axis, y-axis, ordered pair, x-coordinate, y-coordinate
Do you remember how we reviewed our new vocabulary words? We made a Verbal Visual Word Association (VVWA). The four rectangles in the VVWA have a different purpose. See the picture below.

PROPORTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS – Do you remember the three methods we can use to recognize proportional relationships?
1.     Using a chart
2.     Using equivalent fractions
3.     Using a graph
When making a graph, if the line is straight and passes through the origin, then the relationship is proportional. Look back to the videos if none of this makes sense to you.
HOMEWORK:  I am going to collect and check all of it
1)     Either use your printed textbook or the online textbook to complete your homework. It should be bookmarked on your Macbook Air. Page 48 #3, page 49 #1-2, page 50 #5, page 51 #12
2)     Finish the VVWA. You should have a total of 4 complete.

3)     Check Infinite Campus to see your mid check grade. If an assignment is missing and you took it, check out the “no name” papers.
