Chapter 5.3 Properties in MATH in the standard of Expressions and Equations

Good Evening to Everyone,
I am writing this blog but our own Mr Boubacar is doing his very FIRST videos!! So please be patient with him and let him know politely if you find a mistake.  I look back at my first video and it is a scary thing... Let's encourage Mr B on with doing another one soon.....

In this lesson 3, we are working on some important Properties in Math.  Properties are laws in math that allow you do perform certain tasks.  These properties do not apply to some operations (+ - x /) but not all for every property.  So pay special attention to these properties and the operations for each one.  You may be familiar with these.  There are 2 properties that are on page - they are the Communtative Property of + and x
Associative Property of + and x
These 2 properties deal with numbers that flip or parenthesis that flip.  Your job is to figure out which property for which operation.  Have you noticed which operations DON'T have these properties? Please enter the 2 operations that do not use these properties....Write these down in your Graphic Organizer.

An Ever so cute picture of puppies and Elyse!!! How can you stand all this sweetness?!!!!!!!

Homework: Read the blog, take notes in  the graphic organizer, post in your portfolio in Chapter 5!
(This video is over 12 minutes long and you do not need to watch after the first slide. )

As always in MATH,
Mrs M and Mr B
