Chapter 5.1 Algebraic EXPRESSIONS standard Expressions and Equations !!

Good Evening to all of you,
I hope you are totally enjoying your snow-blizzard- day off.  
Have you been outside in this white stuff?  I hope so. 
I did forget to write in the google calendar about your homework, so here is a  reminder to you: Correct mistakes on chapter 4 test on a separate paper and get your folks to sign this. If you want a make up, you must do so by Thursday of this week! Grades have closed for the 2nd quarter!
Well, we are now in our SECOND MATH BOOK! How can you stand all of this fun!  We start the second book in a new standard of Expressions and Equations (EE).  
You will need to start a new standard folder in your portfolio and put chapter 5 under this standard.  
This is a fun chapter, but then again, most of these are, RIGHT!!! 
This chapter is the beginnings of algebra.  
Yes you are going to be doing algebra! 
Algebra is solving for the unknown and generally contains a symbol or letter that represents a number of course!  So your secret word is Algebra - and look for another one in the videos.


Meet Sweet Delta, Kiera's little kitty!! 
Kiera is leaving us to go to her new home in Kennebunk.  So make sure you tell Kiera how you will miss her sweet smiles. Best of luck in your new school. They are lucky to have you join. We will all miss you.


HOMEWORK: Read the blog, watch the videos, take notes in your graphic organizer and start your portfolio for chapter 5 under the new standard of EXPRESSIONS AN EQUATIONS!
