Good Evening to all,
This is an extra long weekend for you as you do not have school due to conferences.
I hope that your conference got scheduled in on Thursday and that you are sleeping in on Friday.
So, we are onto a particularly difficult section in our book, and that is solving equations when you have rational coefficients! Wow! This even sounds difficult..... rational means a number that ends or repeats. We did this before, but I am sure that many of you have forgotten, lol. So a rational number is a whole number, a fraction or a decimal that ends or repeats. A coefficient is a number only that is stuck onto a variable.. We will be solving equations using our properties- laws of math- to balance or solve the equation with some tougher coefficients. We can do this. So hang on, watch the videos, take notes, and ask questions by email or wait till class.
Meet SQUIRELLY- this is Zoe's uncle pet squirrel ! I never knew they made good pets.......
Homework: Read the blog, take notes in your graphic organizer complete with vocabulary and post on your portfolio for chapter 6. Solving Equations with Rational Coefficients.
As always in MATH,
Mrs M
