Good EVENING TO ALL,
I am hoping that most if not all students are doing well with solving Equations- solving for the unknown!
Working with Expressions is a foundation to Solving Equations!!! In EQUATIONS, you must keep one side of the equal sign equal to the other side doing INVERSE OPERATIONS -
the book is calling these properties, which they are, LAWS to solve mathematical sentences.
The coefficient is a review term from last chapter - remember- the number (only) stuck onto the variable?
And the Multiplication and Division Properties of Equalities allow you to BALANCE the equation correctly.
Hang on and watch the videos and ask questions and pay attention to the examples and you will be off to a great start! What a mouthful.
Write down the 3 vocabulary words from this lesson into your Graphic Organizer! Make sure you define them in meaningful manners.
These two little darlings belong to Alana. The kitty is Peanut Butter and the puppy is Moe.
I hope no one is allergic to Peanut Butter!
Homework: Read the blog, define the vocabulary in meaningful manner, watch the videos and take notes in your graphic organizer- start your Chapter 6 Portfolio on EQUATIONS!
As always in MATH,
Mrs M
